JUNIOR SCHOLARS PROGRAM 2015

ACT & WorkKeys Testing Information

All South Carolina students who are in their third year of high school will take two very important tests on Tuesday, April 28, and Wednesday, April 29. Information about these two tests were mailed home today to the parents of students who will be taking these tests.

The ACT will be administered on Tuesday, April 28. The ACT subject tests measure what a student has learned in school. The components include reading, mathematics, science, English and writing. The reading, mathematics, science and English sections are exclusively multiple-choice questions. For the writing section, examinees have 30 minutes to write an essay in response to a writing prompt.

The ACT WorkKeys will be administered on Wednesday, April 29. WorkKeys assessments measure “real world” skills that employers believe are critical to job success. Test questions are based on situations in the everyday work world. Students will complete three components of the WorkKeys series of tests: Reading for Information, Applied Math and Locating Information.
